FRILUFTSLIV! Norwegian for the concept of “open-air living” and a pillar of the 1920’s founding ethos of Skyliners Ski Club in Bend, OR. We know Skyliner as a rad mountain biking spot and a jump off for adventure in the Bend area. We think it’s the perfect name for this stunner. Built for an adventurer who loves long-distance hiking—SKYLINER is fully prepared for open air living. On the interior, a Flatline Van Co. bed sits above custom cabinets to maximize garage storage while a massive Isotherm Cruise 195 Fridge/Freezer keeps meals at the ready. Stargazing or open air sleeping is next level with a Flatline Van Co. Safari Rack and Autohome rooftop tent.

Systems = totally dialed. Our ABYC compliant electrical system features a Victron 400Ah Lithium battery bank, Victron 3000W Inverter and 300 Watts of solar seamlessly monitored with a Victron Cerbo GX Controller. Climate control is provided by a Espar diesel heater, maxxair fan and full-coverage 3M insulation. A 22 gallon fresh water tank is paired with an 11 gallon external grey water tank and external shower heated with a Bosch Hot Water system.

Our client delivered us with a stock white cargo van and asked what we could do about the color. Design challenge accepted. A full 3M wrap transformed the exterior. Outfitted with Owl Vans ladder + tire carrier combo and Aluminess nerf bars, the exterior keeps the off grid vibes while an interior of natural wood tones, grey, navy and white packs an unexpected and completely custom surprise.
